What is the difference between a filter separator and a coalescing filter?
A filter separator removes solids and free liquids in two stages; a coalescing filter removes very fine aerosols and oil mist. Many installations use both in series to protect compressors, turbines and meters.
What information do you need to size a gas filter?
Flow rate, operating pressure and temperature, gas composition, expected solids and liquid loading, and the filtration level required by downstream equipment.
