Aviation fuel and diesel filtration

Vessels, skids and filter elements for Jet A-1, AvGas and diesel — at fuel farms, on refuellers and dispensers, and in industrial plants.

Fuel filtration

Clean, dry fuel from tank to wing

Filtration is the main barrier against water, particles and microbial contamination in aviation fuel. SSSI supplies jet fuel, AvGas and diesel filters — vessels, complete skids and filter elements — for fuel farms, refuellers, hydrant dispensers, power generation and mining.

We size each system for flow rate, fuel type and its position in the supply chain, and deliver it with the instrumentation, documentation and training it needs.

Frequently asked questions

Can EI 1583 filter monitors still be used?

Not for aviation fuel. The Energy Institute withdrew the EI 1583 specification at the end of 2020, and under industry guidance (JIG Bulletin 132) water-absorbing elements have not been acceptable since July 2023. The alternative is an EI 1581 filter water separator, or an EI 1599 particulate filter combined with an electronic water sensor. We help you plan the conversion of refuellers and dispensers.

When should filter elements be changed?

When they reach the maximum differential pressure set by the manufacturer, or at the intervals set by the manufacturer and the standards your operation follows — whichever comes first. We help you define a replacement program and spares stock.

Do you supply filter elements for other brands of vessels?

Yes. We supply replacement elements, gaskets and kits for our vessels and other manufacturers', checking compatibility with your equipment.

Do you ship fuel filters to the Caribbean and South America?

Yes. We consolidate orders in Canada and coordinate shipment with export documentation to every country in the Caribbean and South America.
